French drain, porcelain paving & artificial grass
The starting point in Tarleton compared with the finished result.

The front garden was awkward to use and poorly drained. Hard surfaces looked tired, water sat after rain, and the lawn no longer gave a reliable everyday finish. The client wanted a cleaner layout with solid paving for walking and seating, better control of surface water, and a low-maintenance green area that stayed presentable year-round. Boundaries and edges needed sorting so the whole front garden read as one organised space rather than a mix of worn surfaces and weak drainage.
We cleared and prepared the front garden, including removal and disposal of old fence panels and gate where required, then built the new scheme on proper bases. A French drain was installed to manage ground water. Dark grey porcelain paving and dark grey natural stone (Indian sandstone) formed the main hard surfaces, finished with stone borders and kerb edging. Black basalt gravel defined secondary zones, artificial grass replaced the old lawn finish, and fencing works included close board elements with a new close board gate. Topsoil was brought in where needed, armoured cable was laid as part of the package, and gabion baskets completed the seating area.
The front garden is now a practical, well-drained space with durable paving, controlled runoff and a consistent artificial lawn. Edges and fencing look finished, upkeep is simpler, and the approach has clearer kerb appeal for everyday use.
