Composite Decking, Sleeper Borders & Fencing in Ashton-on-Ribble

What we were asked to solve

The front outdoor space needed a practical rebuild rather than a light tidy. The existing decking had come to the end of its life and had to be removed and disposed of, leaving the client without a sound surface next to the house. The boundary also needed a clearer edge: a simple raised bed structure that could take fresh topsoil, plus a smarter fence line. The brief was to strip out the old decking, lay durable composite boards, form sleeper-edged borders, and improve the fencing with cladding and new posts.

How we delivered it

We removed and disposed of the current decking, then installed new composite decking as the main usable surface. Along the boundary we built wooden sleeper borders at single sleeper height to create raised beds, and filled them with topsoil ready for planting. On the fence line we fitted wooden cladding and set new posts, cemented in place, to give a cleaner, more solid finish. Everything stayed within the agreed package: composite decking, sleeper borders, topsoil, cladding and posts, with full clear-up on completion.

Outcome for the homeowner
