Resin bound driveway & Kandla Grey porcelain
The starting point in Preston compared with the finished result.

The driveway frontage needed a full reset rather than a patch-up. Hard surfaces were tired and awkward to use day to day, and the soft ground needed clearing — including stump removal — so a proper lawn could be laid. The client wanted a smart, permeable drive that was easy to keep, a defined path to the door, and tidy borders that would hold the scheme together. Drainage detail at the manhole also had to be handled cleanly so the finished surface stayed level and practical in wet weather.
We cleared and prepared the driveway zone, removed the stump, and set out levels for hard and soft areas. A resin bound driveway was laid on a prepared base with mesh reinforcement for a smooth, permeable finish. Kandla Grey porcelain paving formed the path and threshold detailing, with block paving and kerb edging used to define borders and keep edges crisp. We fitted a recessed manhole cover so the cover sits flush with the new surface, then laid premium turf on prepared ground for a neat lawn strip beside the drive. Gravel and edging details completed a tidy, low-maintenance frontage.
The driveway is now a clean, usable surface in all weathers, with a smart porcelain path to the door and a fresh lawn held by solid edging. Surface levels and the recessed cover keep the finish practical, while the overall look lifts kerb appeal without heavy upkeep.
