Sandstone Paving, Block Paving & New Lawn in Preston

What we were asked to solve

The garden needed more than a light tidy-up. Hard surfaces were awkward underfoot, surface water collected where people needed to walk, and the lawn was no longer a usable everyday space. The client wanted solid paving that would cope with wet weather, proper runoff control, neat edges and a fresh lawn that looked and felt usable. The brief was a practical outdoor layout with drainage built in, not a cosmetic refresh alone.

How we delivered it

We laid Indian sandstone for the natural stone paved areas and block paving for the main paths and hardstanding. Cotswold buff gravel was used for borders and decorative strips, held neat with gravel boards. We built raised beds in rustic Burford tumbled brick for planting. A French drain and recessed manhole cover managed surface water at key points, and we finished with a level new lawn ready to establish.

Outcome for the homeowner
