Porcelain Patio, Block Paving & New Lawn in Chorley

What we were asked to solve

The rear garden no longer suited everyday family use. Surfaces were tired and awkward, the lawn was patchy, and fencing needed renewing so the space felt enclosed and finished. The client wanted clear zones for seating, paths and planting, with hardstanding that stayed practical in wet weather and a proper lawn for play. Borders were poorly defined and the layout lacked a clean link from the house into the garden. They asked us to rebuild the outdoor space so it was usable, tidy and easier to look after.

How we delivered it

We cleared and prepared the site, then rebuilt the scheme with porcelain paving for the a feature patio and seating area, limestone paving around the house, and brick paths for texture. A combination of ground level and raised wooden planting beds were added with Cotswold buff gravel finishing the edges and gaps. A recessed manhole cover was fitted flush with the new surfaces, and a fresh turf lawn completed the soft landscaping so each zone read clearly from day one.

Outcome for the homeowner

The garden now offers solid paving for seating and routes through the space, a healthy turf lawn, defined raised borders. The garden has family friendly zones with a variety of heights, colours and textures bringing visual interest to the area. Everyday use is simpler, edges stay cleaner, and the whole rear garden presents a practical, low-fuss finish from the house.
