What we were asked to solve

The garden needed more than a light tidy. Tired fencing and an ageing gate left the boundary looking worn, and the outdoor space lacked a practical hard surface for seating and everyday use. The lawn and borders were no longer working for family life, and green clearance was needed before anything new could go in. The client wanted a cleaner layout with proper fencing, a solid patio and decking area, and a lawn they could enjoy without constant struggle. The photos below show the site before work began.

How we delivered it

We cleared the site, disposed of the old panels and gate, and rebuilt the boundary with continuous overlap fencing, a new close board gate and standard brick garden walls. Porcelain paving in Anthracite gave a clean, hard-wearing patio, and composite decking created a low-maintenance seating zone. Borders were defined with log-roll edging, finished with Black Ice gravel and bark chips, and planted with cherry laurel for lasting structure. Fresh topsoil went down before we laid a new turf lawn, giving the garden clear zones for relaxing, play and day-to-day use.
