Porcelain Paving, Turf Lawn & Close Board Gate in Preston

What we were asked to solve

The front and rear outdoor spaces were no longer practical for everyday use. Surfaces looked tired and uneven, the lawn area had lost its usefulness, and old fencing panels and a gate were ready for removal. The client wanted a clean, low-maintenance patio and path that would stay usable in wet weather, a proper lawn beside the rear hardstanding, and neater borders so both the street approach and the back garden felt finished. Site clearance and a joined-up layout across front and rear were needed before new paving and soft landscaping could go in.

How we delivered it

We cleared and prepared both zones, disposing of old fencing panels and the existing gate, then built out the agreed scheme. Kandla Grey porcelain paving was laid front and back on a suitable base with neat pointing, and sections of existing paving were relaid where they still earned their keep. Discrete borders were formed with slate gravel and planting to soften the edges to the house and path. A new close board gate completed the boundary work. In the rear garden we laid a fresh turf lawn beside the patio so the family had a clean, level grass area ready for regular use.

Outcome for the homeowner
