Chicken coop, gate and fence - case study
This week we have been building a custom chicken coop with custom build gate and a sturdy back garden fence. Looking after rescue chickens, Ian and Karen wanted a nice area for them to live. It needed to give them room to scratch around but also stop them causing havoc in the garden.
After a sending over some potential designs with prices for each, we agreed on a plan and got to work. The work took 2 days to complete and Ian and Karen have both said they were delighted with the result.
What we did
To build the chicken coop, 4 sturdy wooden supports were set into the ground with cement. The perimeter was then enclosed with steel chicken wire. A custom sized, sturdy gate was constructed from treated timber and fitted with hinges and a latch for easy access.
The fence at the rear of the garden was a mishmash of old walls and pieces of fence. We demolished all of this, clearing the way for a new fence. We installed a classic slatted fence with concrete posts and base plates. These fences are easy to install and last up to 15 years. They are a great option for keeping the cost down whilst having something that looks great.
We build custom garden installations all over Preston and Longton. If you want something that you have seen on the internet, the chances are that we can build it. Get in touch today to make your garden something to be proud of.
