Artificial Grass project, Much Hoole, Preston

Work completed March 2019

Mark has a large garden which is split into different areas. He has been doing the garden up one section at a time. He asked us to come and design an artificial grass area which would fit around the current trees and other features.

What we have done

  1. Dug out, levelled and prepared the area. This area was overgrown with grass and tree roots making it unusable. To make sure the artificial grass was flat and had an even texture we took extra care in preparation to remove stubborn features.
  2. Laid stone borders. The stone circles around the trees and the block stone edging were then put in to to create a frame for the artificial lawn and the existing trees.
  3. Installing the grass. A wooden frame is built and anchored around the area. This is filled with sand, flattened and then covered with a weed proof membrane. The artificial grass in then carefully cut and measured to shape. The final stage is covering and fixing the fake grass to the wooden frame.
